Now you can incorporate tariffs in to Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud with the following details:
- Country
Whether it’s a tariff between Germany to United States or United States to Canada, our tariff management system allows you to set up a source country and a destination country in order to account for tariffs set up by any country in the world. - Material
Sometimes tariffs can be specific to a certain material such as steel, copper, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and more. In these circumstances, our tariff management system can handle these specifics. - Scheduling
On a daily basis tariffs can change but they are planned and scheduled ahead of time. With our tariff management system you can set up the schedule along with the specifics of the tariff then relax because once the system is in place then the scheduled tariffs will be turned on and off as planned.
Tariff Management for Commerce Cloud
Below we see an example shopping cart in Salesforce Commerce Cloud which includes the tariff that was assigned based on materials. This gives a clear expectation to the user on the amount that is added due to the tariff associated with the products

Tariff Management for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
Not every company has a self-service portal though. Often times a sales rep or a service rep will be the person who helps a customer with purchases. Below we see the Tariff/Surcharge calculator that can be used in Sales Cloud or Service Cloud to allow the rep to get those accurate costs for the customer.

Tariff Management for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
To set up the tariffs is very easy. Below we see the Tariff/Surcharge Creator which is a simple wizard to allow a Salesforce Admin to set up the rules associated with a tariff including the amount, the type, if the tariff is based on materials, the source country, and the destination country. Furthermore, the start and end date of the tariff can be set so that the tariffs can be automatically turned on and off on a schedule instead of needing human intervention.
